This is exactly what the rigid shield is for: it covers the eye without applying pressure and protects it until qualified help arrives. Why transparent and perforated

The transparent material allows the medic to see the eye and dressing without removing it, while the patient can partially see through the shield. Ventilation holes ensure air movement, preventing moisture and heat buildup under the shield. The raised shape means that the shield rests against the bony edge of the eye socket and does not touch the eye or eyelids.

• After eye surgeries, especially at night while sleeping, when the patient may accidentally rub their eye
• After eye injury, until examination by a doctor
• In first aid and tactical medicine – eye protection after penetrating trauma, when pressure on the eye is not allowed.
