Transparent rigid plastic eye shield with adjustable elastic. Used to protect the eye after surgery, injury, or procedure when it is necessary to prevent accidental touching, rubbing, or impact, while still allowing visibility of the eye and its surroundings.
If a foreign body is stuck in the eye, it should not be pulled out, and the eye should not be pressed. This is exactly what the rigid shield is for: it covers the eye without applying pressure and protects it until qualified help arrives. A regular dressing is not suitable in this case as it applies pressure.
No. The panel is intended for single use for one patient.
Yes, the shape is universal – the same shield fits both the left and right eye.
The transparent material allows the medic to see the eye and dressing without removing it, while the patient can partially see through the shield. Ventilation holes ensure air movement, preventing moisture and heat buildup under the shield. The raised shape means that the shield rests against the bony edge of the eye socket and does not touch the eye or eyelids.
