Foam plugs suppress noise more effectively than silicone ones. 38 dB is sufficient even in very noisy environments, making them widely used in industry and construction.
The plugs are designed for single use, so there is no question of cleaning or bacteria accumulation. This is why they are a standard choice in workplaces where hearing protection is issued to employees.
One pair of HASPRO foam earplugs made from extremely soft polyurethane. This is the simplest and cheapest way to protect against noise when you least expect it: in a hotel, on a bus, in a construction neighbourhood, or during a short job with a noisy tool.
Pinch the plug with your fingers into a thin roll, with the other hand gently pull the ear cup up and back, insert the plug and hold it with your finger for 20-30 seconds until the foam expands. An incorrectly inserted foam plug dampens the effect several times worse.
