How to insert correctly

Pinch the plug with your fingers into a thin roll, with the other hand gently pull the ear cup up and back, insert the plug and hold it with your finger for 20-30 seconds until the foam expands. An incorrectly inserted foam plug dampens the effect several times worse.

Foam plugs provide greater attenuation (38 dB versus 27 dB) and are cheaper, but they are disposable and inserted into the ear canal. MOLD plugs are reusable, waterproof, and only seal the outer ear canal.
